Before proceeding with the setup. call your internet service provider and get the pppoe username and password.

Turn off the Modem, Router and computer.  Connect a Ethernet cable from the broadband modem to the Linksys router and another ethernet cable from the Linksys router to a computer.

Note : If you are not using a desktop then connect a laptop with a ethernet cable for the setup.

Turn on the modem first and wait till the lights are stable. Then turn on the router and computer.  If your connection is dynamic usually just a power cycle will get the internet connection back.

If still the computer is not connect to the internet then follow the next step.

Open a Browser and in the Address box type 192.168.1.1

The Login window will prompt for the routers username and password. The default username is “admin” and the default password is “admin”.

Under setup click Basic setup.  Select the connection type as Automatic Configuration - DHCP.  Select the Correct Time zone and Click Save settings.
